Hi everyone.
I have came to a decision that saddens me, but it is a decision that is out of my hands. Unfortunatley,I will not be able to run in the Disney Marathon this upcoming January. I simply can not manage to secure the funds that are nessacary to do so. Between airfare, hotel costs, park tickets and food the trip wold end up costing me well over $1500 for a week.Since I have not been able to find a job since I was laid off in September, I just do not see how it will be possible for me to be able to do so.It saddens me that this is the case, but I know that not being able to go to the marathon is not the end of the world, or even close to it. I know that I can still raise awareness for RR and the children that are a part of it.
Instead, I plan to train as much as I can this summer since I will be home with my parents for most my summer break, with little else to do. This prep then may allow me to get in shape and have something to do with my summer. But it also will allow me to keep looking forward. I will run that Disney Marathon. Not this year, and maybe not the next. But in the near future, I will for sure.I am confident of that.
